How Zoom Teeth Whitening Works
Teeth whitening is a simple procedure that involves applying a bleaching gel to your teeth and then exposing them to ultraviolet light.
When you visit our office, one of our dentists will meet with you and examine your teeth and gums to determine if they are healthy enough for a Zoom Teeth Whitening treatment.
Once cleared for the procedure, we will use the shade guide to determine the shade of white you would like your teeth to be.
To begin the Zoom treatment, we’ll clean your teeth to make sure the whitening gel is evenly applied to your teeth (not plaque buildup). We take the necessary steps to keep gums and lips clear of the solution, and from there, shine a special laser light on your teeth to activate the whitening gel.
At our Whitening Bar, we do the treatment in 15-minute increments, checking between to make sure we are getting close to the shade you are looking for. Once treatment is completed, we will wipe away and remaining solution and get you ready for your “After” photo!
Note: If you have gum disease, cavities, or an infection, we will want to treat this first. This will not only help your overall oral health but also help minimize any sensitivity you might experience as a result of the teeth whitening treatment.
